ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఆదివారం 25 మంది బాలలకు జాతీయ సాహస అవార్డులు బహూకరించారు.
పిల్లలను, వారి తల్లిదండ్రులను అభినందించిన ప్రధాని ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రసంగిస్తూ, “సమయస్ఫూర్తి, వేగవంతమైన ఆలోచన, నిస్వార్థపూరిత పట్టుదల, ఆపదలోని తోటివారికి సాయపడేలా స్పందించే సున్నితత్వం, మానవత్వం ఈ బాలల సాహసంలోని ప్రధానాంశాలు. ఈ సాహసం ఇక్కడే ఆగిపోకూడదు. ఇదే విధంగా ఎదిగి, కెరీర్లో వృద్ధి చెంది, సమాజానికి తమ పూర్తి స్థాయి సేవలను అందించాలి” అని ఆకాంక్షించారు. ఈ గుణగణాలను పేర్కొంటూ రూపొందిన ‘లైఫ్ ప్రోగ్రెషన్ ఆఫ్ ఐసీసీడబ్ల్యూ నేషనల్ బ్రేవరీ అవార్డీస్’ అనే పుస్తకాన్ని ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన విడుదల చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో కేంద్ర మహిశా, శిశు సంరక్షణ శాఖ మంత్రి శ్రీమతి మేనకా గాంధీ కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు.
భారతీయ బాలల సంరక్షణ మండలి (ఐసీసీడబ్ల్యూ) ఈ జాతీయ సాహస బాలల అవార్డుల పథకాన్ని ఆరంభించింది. తమ సాహసాలతో, ప్రతిభతో సమాజానికి స్ఫూర్తినిచ్చే బాలల గొప్పదనం అందరికీ ఉదాహరణగా నిలవాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ అవార్డును నెలకొల్పారు.
