ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ 2001 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਦ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘‘ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਹਾਦਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੰਸਦ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।’’
