ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਜਲਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਜਿੱਤ ਸਾਹਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਐਕਸ (X) ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ:

“ਅਸੀਂ ਜਲਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਜਿੱਤ ਸਾਹਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਹ ਵਾਸਤਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਕਾਲਾ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਬੜਾ ਮੋੜ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।”

We pay homage to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh. The coming generations will always remember their indomitable spirit. It was indeed a dark chapter in our nation’s history. Their sacrifice became a major turning point in India’s freedom struggle.
