ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਹਿਰੋਸ਼ਿਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀ-7 ਸਮਿਟ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ 21 ਮਈ, 2023 ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨਾਇਟਿਡ ਕਿੰਗਡਮ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਹਾਮਹਿਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਸੁਨਕ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਦੋਨਾਂ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਯੂਕੇ ਐੱਫਟੀਏ ਵਾਰਤਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਣ ਸਹਿਤ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਰਣਨੀਤਕ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼, ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ, ਉੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਬੰਧ ਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਗਹਿਰਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ‘ਤੇ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਵਿਅਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਜੀ-20 ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਹੋਈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੀ-20 ਸਮਿਟ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੁਨਕ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਸਵੰਦ ਹਨ।
