पंतप्रधान नरेद्र मोदी यांनी आज जसपूर इथे विश्व उमिया धाम संकुलाचे भूमिपूजन केले.
आपल्या समाजाला बळकट करण्यात साधू- संतांची भूमिका अविस्मरणीय आहे असे त्यांनी यावेळी जमलेल्या उत्साही जनतेला संबोधित करताना सांगितले. या साधू-संतानी आपल्याला मौल्यवान शिकवण दिली. अपप्रवृत्ती आणि जुलुमाविरोधात लढा देण्याचे बळ त्यांनी दिले असे ते म्हणाले.
आपल्या भूतकाळातून उत्तम गोष्टी टिपून घेत येणाऱ्या काळाकडे पाहत,काळानुसार बदलत राहण्याचे आपल्याला साधु-संतानी शिकवले आहे.
जनतेसाठी लाभदायक असणाऱ्या उपक्रमांची माहिती देताना आपल्या सरकारला छोट्या प्रमाणातले कार्य स्वीकारार्ह नाही,सरकार नेहमीच सर्व मोठ्या प्रमाणात करते ज्यामुळे समाजातल्या सर्व घटकांना त्याचा लाभ होऊ शकेल.
युवकांसाठी उच्च दर्जाच्या शिक्षणावर भर देणे महत्वाचे असल्याचे ते म्हणाले.
माता उमिया यांच्यावर श्रद्धा असणारे, स्त्री भ्रूण हत्येची कदापि पाठराखण करणार नाहीत असे ठाम प्रतिपादन त्यांनी केले.
ज्या समाजात स्त्री आणि पुरुष यांच्यात भेदभाव न करता या दोघानाही समान वागणूक दिली जाते अशा समाजाच्या निर्मितीसाठी मदत करण्याचे आवाहन त्यांनी जनतेला केले.
