पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आशुरा दिनानिमित्ताने हजरत इमाम हुसेन (अ.स.) यांनी दिलेल्या बलिदानाचे स्मरण केले.

“आपण हजरत इमाम हुसैन (अ. स.) यांनी दिलेल्या बलिदानाचे स्मरण करतो. त्यांचे धैर्य तसेच न्याय आणि मानवी प्रतिष्ठेच्या आदर्शांसाठी असलेली वचनबद्धता उल्लेखनीय आहे.”
