પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ સરદાર પટેલને તેમની જયંતી પર શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપી છે. શ્રી મોદીએ કહ્યું કે તેમની અદમ્ય ભાવના, દૂરંદેશી રાજનીતિ અને અસાધારણ સમર્પણથી સરદાર પટેલે આપણા રાષ્ટ્રનું ભાગ્ય ઘડ્યું.
