The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today interacted informally with national awardee teachers, on the eve of Teachers’ Day.
The Prime Minister exhorted the awardee teachers to continually strive towards improving the quality of education in the country.
The Prime Minister said that teachers should keep abreast of technology, and imbibe it judiciously as part of the teaching routine. He urged the teachers to encourage creativity among the students.
Shri Narendra Modi also called upon the teachers to inculcate the habits of cleanliness (Swachhta) among their students.
Union Minister for Human Resource Development Smt. Smriti Irani, and Union MoS (HRD) Dr. Ram Shankar Katheria were present on the occasion.
